EAST TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY TRYOUT

Th Cheer Team tryouts will be held in Brooks Gym on the campus of ETSU. The tryout fees. Please bring CASH only!!! ETSU Cheer team tryouts will be held over a period of 2 days. The first evening of tryouts is just for incoming Freshman, transfers, and anyone currently enrolled at ETSU but not on the current team. This portion of tryouts will be held on Friday evening, in Brooks Upper Gym on the campus of ETSU. Please bring the following paperwork with you to tryouts: 1. Completed Cheer Team application 2. Proof of Admission to ETSU (copy of acceptance letter OR University ID)  3. Signed ETSU Waiver form  4. Copy of your insurance policy card (front/back) 5. tryout fee (cash only) If you so choose, you may scan and email any paperwork to the Spirit Coordinator at vaneatonv@etsu.edu prior to tryouts. Cheer Tryout Process   Our Cheer tryouts for the season will be an open tryout. We recommend each prospective athlete attend our Spring Recruit Clinic.   Prior to tryouts, all CBU  potential athletes must be accepted to the university. TOP STRETCHES TO MASTER THE SPLIT

For those who are trying to work on their splits and those are doing perfect worry less because there are plenty of stretches to work on the splits well. The stretches do help your body to be flexible, gain strength and also help the athlete to avoid some injuries.  Additionally, there are stretches for beginners that can help one to perform well on the ground and master them easier.                 FORWARD BEND Forward bend stretches are excellent for improving flexibility in the hamstring, lower back and spine. One has to stand straight up with his feet together and your arms by your side, slowly fold forward reaching towards your toes or the ground. To avoid to strain, you can keep your knee slightly bent and from there you can work mostly in straightening your legs while still keeping your palms on the ground for about 30seconds. Two years back I had an opportunity to visit the land of freedom, I was eager to know more when I overheard my father peaking a bone with his friend whom had come to take his family for a holiday. CHEERLEADING TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS We are excited to announce that the tryouts will be hosted via virtual & in-person Rounds. Round 1 will consist of each participant submitting a virtual Highlight Reel followed by in-person rounds that will take place on campus by invitation only.
